Christian Conduct
Dear Friend,
I see too much hate today. It is on Social Media like a sickness. Some of the nicest people I know post such hateful things on Facebook. It is as if their niceness is sublimated, and seem to think posting or forwarding nasty things on Social Media is okay.
Most of the people I see doing this claim to be Christians. In fact, many think they do it as an act of Christianity. We need to be aware that no ethnic group was more despised by the Jews than the Samaritans. Yet Jesus ministered in love to the Samaritans, and Philip and Peter brought them into the umbrellas of Christianity. There was no one more despised than the Romans and their deviant lifestyle than the Jews, and yet Jesus treated them with love.
If you are a Christian, the Holy Spirit resides in your spirit. Please note the following scripture from the New Testament by Paul and James:
Rom_8:9 … Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him
1Co_12:3 … no one can say
“Jesus is Lord” except in the Holy Spirit.
Jas
4:5 Or do you think the Scripture means nothing when it says that the
Spirit that God caused to live in us jealously yearns for us?
If you are a Christian you have received a deposit and a seal. 2 Corinthians 1:22 ESV “And who has also put his seal on us and given us his Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.”
The guarantee is a pledge or a deposit against something that happens at a future date. This quote means the believer has been saved for eternity. The deposit guarantees a contract (or covenant).
Romans 8:9: “You . . . are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.”
So, one is not a Christian if they do not have the Holy Spirit.

The fruit of the Spirit is like
a tree that bears fruit. The believer will exhibit the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
The fruit of the Spirit is the outward, visible and godly virtues displayed in a believer's life, that evidence the inward, invisible presence of the Holy Spirit. These virtues or characteristics stand in stark contrast to the fruit of the flesh.
The fruit of the flesh is the opposite of the fruit of the Spirit. It is hate, unhappiness, strife, bitterness, rudeness (impatience), bad behavior, lacking gentleness or self-control.
Which are you?
